Subject: helvetica ligatures
Cc: tex-k@cs.umb.edu
I need help on this urgently, please.
I upgraded our dvipsk from 5.519a to 5.58c last night because
the old one was dumping core when I processed my seminar.sty
slides. Great! The new dvipsk is truly wonderful - I can't
believe how much faster it runs. However, I've lost 'fi'
ligatures. I'm using phvrq.tfm etc [I don't have time just
now to upgrade everything] and appended
phvrq Helvetica
phvroq Helvetica-Oblique
phvbq Helvetica-Bold
phvboq Helvetica-BoldOblique
phvrrnq Helvetica ".82 ExtendFont"
phvronq Helvetica-Oblique ".82 ExtendFont"
phvbrnq Helvetica-Bold ".82 ExtendFont"
phvbonq Helvetica-BoldOblique ".82 ExtendFont"
to psfonts.map.
I think I need something like '<EC.enc' at the end of these lines,
but I can't get anything to bring back my beloved 'fi's.
Any clues that'll let me get my slides done for this afternoon will
be _much_ appreciated.
Nick
